Is North London Driving School officially approved by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO)?

Yes, our school is an accredited provider of Ministry-approved Beginner Driver Education (BDE) courses.

Am I eligible to begin the course without having my G1 license?

You may begin the course without a G1 license; however, you are required to obtain your G1 within a few weeks of completing the classroom portion of the program. Please note that in-car lessons cannot commence until you have acquired your G1 license.

I would like to inquire about available payment plans for the course. What are the accepted methods of payment?

Flexible payment plans are available and can be coordinated directly with us. We accept payments through cash, cheque, debit, e-transfer, and credit card.

Is it challenging to pass the road test in winter?

It is not particularly difficult to pass the road test in winter if you are well-trained. In fact, our instructors have observed higher pass rates during this season. This is largely because winter conditions allow for slower turns and there is less emphasis on parking within a specific distance from the curb. However, thorough preparation is essential, and our instructors are fully committed to ensuring you are confident and well-prepared for success.

    How to Get Ready for Your In-Vehicle Driving Lessons

    1 Please take note of the date and time of your scheduled lesson. If you need to cancel, we kindly ask that you notify us in advance to arrange a rescheduled time. Please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate your preferred date and time, but providing at least 24 hours’ notice will help us manage our schedule and accommodate other students.

    2 In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, such as vehicle issues, illness, or severe weather, that may result in the cancellation of your in-car lesson, we will contact you by phone or email. We will make every effort to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
    3 Always ensure you have your driver’s license with you.
    4 Prepare thoroughly for your upcoming lesson by practicing regularly. We recommend 4-6 hours of practice to ensure you perform your best.
    5 It is important to wear comfortable and appropriate footwear during your session to ensure you can move and operate the vehicle with ease. Proper shoes will help you maintain control, allowing you to focus on the lesson without any discomfort or distractions.
    6 If you are feeling unwell, whether due to fatigue, illness, or significant stress, we strongly recommend rescheduling your lesson. Driving while not in your best physical or mental condition can impact your performance and safety. Taking the time to rest and recover will ensure that you are fully focused and able to make the most of your lesson. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a more suitable time for your session.
    7 Stay calm and relaxed during your lesson. Our instructors are highly trained professionals who will guide you every step of the way. We maintain full control of the vehicle at all times and will take control when necessary to ensure your safety and the safety of others on the road. Our goal is to provide a supportive and safe learning environment where you can build confidence in your driving skills while knowing that we are always prepared to step in if needed.
